The George Washington University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our General Surgery Unit. As an academic medical center in the heart of Washington, DC, we are committed to excellence, innovation, and advancing healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients under the supervision of an RN.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient responses.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of CNA certification course, PCT program, Medical Assistant Course, or (2) years of nursing school.
- CNA certification preferred.
- At least 6 months of recent patient care experience in a healthcare facility settings.
- Acute Care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
