About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in early 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are seeking a qualified Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will assist under the supervision of a registered nurse or nursing team, helping with vital signs, activities of daily living, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Support nursing staff in patient care tasks

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 6 months or more of recent hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience
  • Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
  • Certification of Certified Nursing Assistant course, certification as a Medical Assistant or two years of nursing school
  • CPR certified
