About the position
The Patient Enrollment and Eligibility Specialist is responsible for conducting outbound phone screenings to assess the needs of elderly clients and document their eligibility for services. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound phone screenings to assess the daily living situations and needs of elderly clients.
- Perform heavy data entry to record eligibility information accurately.
- Utilize CRM systems to track interactions and manage client data.
- Communicate effectively with clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Arts with 1+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in any field with limited work experience; or 2+ years of work experience in a nonprofit setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish is required.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook and email.
- Familiarity with Excel for data entry as needed.
- Previous experience in a nonprofit call center or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
