Additionally, the Patient Services Representative performs assisted billing functions as directed by the Biller/Coder, contributing to the financial health of the clinic. In this role, the representative must demonstrate a strong understanding of office functions and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The representative must also exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, as they will interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. A commitment to maintaining the Standards of Conduct is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively within the healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical, secretarial, and receptionist support for the clinic.

Requirements

  • Experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics preferred.
  • Related college classes preferred.
  • Valid CPR Certification strongly recommended.
  • Knowledge of personal computer and clerical/business office functions.
  • Ability to teach and direct other office personnel.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
