Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries and appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry into electronic medical records and billing systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and ensure smooth operations within the medical office.
  • Handle patient complaints and concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service experience, or successful completion of a Providence internship.
  • Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
  • Experience with medical terminology is preferred.
  • Experience in a rooming position such as CNA, non-credentialed MA, or EMT is advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of medical office or healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and billing systems is a plus.
  • Experience with medical terminology is beneficial.
