About the position

The Payroll Support Specialist is responsible for providing expert guidance and resolving inquiries related to payroll processing and payment solutions for clients. This role emphasizes customer service, technical proficiency, and effective communication to ensure exceptional client experiences in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client payroll inquiries via phone and email in a call center environment.
  • Use CRM software for case management and research, ensuring accurate and timely resolutions.
  • Assist clients with payroll-related tools and software to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Guide clients on utilizing payroll systems for scheduled, off-cycle, and on-demand payment solutions.
  • Provide step-by-step support for troubleshooting issues, implementing payroll processes, and managing payment options.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve more complex cases as needed.
  • Document and maintain accurate client interactions and resolutions for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in client support, payroll support, or a related call center environment.
  • Proficient in CRM tools for task tracking and case management.
  • Previous experience with payroll systems, support, or implementation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical audiences.
  • High level of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive client data with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn new systems and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with tools such as SmartCompliance, Wage Payments, ADP Run, Roll, or similar payroll platforms.
  • Customer service orientation with a commitment to problem-solving and client satisfaction.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
