About the position

At the Institute for Surgical Excellence, our surgeons are recognized for their unmatched depth and breadth of surgical knowledge, particularly in the realm of less invasive techniques and innovative practices. As a Pediatric Urologist with LVHN, you will be part of a pioneering team that is setting the standard for surgical excellence. You will have the opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies and deliver high-quality care to patients in a collaborative environment with expert clinicians and other highly trained professionals, each possessing unique areas of expertise. The position is based at the Reilly Children's Surgery Center, which is equipped with four operating rooms and two procedure rooms, one of which is dedicated to endoscopy. The facility also includes 16 private pre/post-operative rooms and a nine-bay post-anesthesia care unit. Our VUDS facilities are shared with adult urology, allowing for a comprehensive approach to patient care. Our surgeons perform over 85,000 surgeries annually, which is 25 percent more than other centers in the region, showcasing our commitment to excellence in pediatric urology. As part of our physician practice network, you will collaborate with general pediatricians and pediatric specialists across various fields, including Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Hematology and Oncology, Cardiology, Adolescent Medicine, Infectious Disease, Critical Care, Neonatology, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, and the largest Maternal Fetal Medicine practice in the state. Our advanced robotics program is the largest in the region, featuring cutting-edge technologies such as the da Vinci SP® robotic surgery system and the Mazor X Stealth™ Edition robotic guidance platform, making this an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Urologist looking to advance their career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pediatric urological surgeries using minimally invasive techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in educational programs and training for residents and fellows.
  • Engage in research and publish findings in prestigious medical journals.
  • Maintain a valid PA Medical License and adhere to all medical regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Urology.
  • A valid PA Medical License or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Demonstrated passion for clinical work and commitment to patient care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with robotic surgery systems, particularly da Vinci SP®.
  • Familiarity with pediatric urology practices and protocols.
  • Previous involvement in research and publication in medical journals.
