About the position

The People Operations Manager at Saildrone will play a crucial role in enhancing the employee experience and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position involves driving talent development and retention initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and collaborating with senior leadership to align people operations with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and people management skills, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive compliant, efficient, and scalable processes, policies, and workflows.
  • Develop and follow People Operations audit and control processes in compliance with SOX, Federal and State laws, and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align people operations with business objectives.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in employee relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and employee engagement.
  • Utilize data and metrics to measure program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Regularly report on key metrics to leadership.
  • Assess opportunities, compile and analyze data, and prepare reports/recommendations for people operations strategies.
  • Partner with the People Operations Generalist on onboarding, change management, and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager on the performance review process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5-7 years of People Operations experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP), and GSuite.
  • SHRM Certification preferred, and Startup experience preferred.
