We are seeking to expand our Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) - Information Technology Infrastructure Services team. With over 4,000 professionals based in 40 locations across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, our firm excels in problem-solving and value creation. Our PEPI practice focuses on serving upper middle market and large cap private equity firms, helping them improve operating results at their portfolio companies, which typically range from $50 million to over $1 billion in revenue. The leadership team is focused on providing development opportunities and training. The Manager, IT Infrastructure Services, will be part of a team that delivers engagements ranging from rapid pre-acquisition IT assessments to large, complex client projects that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. The role involves pre-acquisition IT diligence assignments, merger integration and carve-out planning, performance improvement assignments including cloud migrations, and interim management assignments. The Manager will bring both consulting and operational expertise in all aspects of IT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) to these engagements, ensuring that IT infrastructure supports business systems effectively and efficiently. This position requires a structured and disciplined approach to create and capture value, working closely with organizations and stakeholders to tackle complex business issues and maximize value.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engagements that range from rapid pre-acquisition IT assessments to large, complex client projects.
  • Conduct pre-acquisition IT diligence assignments evaluating IT infrastructure supporting business systems.
  • Plan and execute merger integration and carve-out strategies.
  • Drive Day-1 and 100-day planning and execution for IT infrastructure improvements.
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives including cloud migrations and cost optimization.
  • Manage interim IT Infrastructure & Operations assignments.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of five years specializing in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
  • Demonstrable experience in solution and enterprise architecture and infrastructure.
  • Experience in IT assessment and strategy development.
  • Proven track record in IT performance improvement and cost reduction.
  • Experience in private equity advisory and IT merger integration.
  • Strong project management skills in business/IT transformation programs.
  • Functional expertise in all towers of IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Proven writing skills with the ability to produce polished client-facing documents.
  • Specific experience designing and supervising change/communications strategies.
