About the position

Alvarez & Marsal is a leading independent global professional services firm, specializing in providing turnaround management, performance improvement, and corporate advisory services. The firm is seeking to expand its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) - HR M&A team. With over 4,000 professionals based in 40 locations across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, A&M excels in problem-solving and value creation. The PEPI practice focuses on serving upper middle market and large cap private equity firms, helping to improve operating results at their portfolio companies, which typically range from $50 million to over $1 billion in revenue. The HR M&A team within PEPI is composed of seasoned HR consulting professionals who provide practical advice to private equity clients and their portfolio companies throughout the transaction lifecycle. This team offers holistic, cross-functional M&A services across finance, IT, and operational functions, with a specific focus on total rewards, talent, and HR operations. The HR M&A practice provides a broad range of human capital support to clients on both the buy and sell sides of transactions, leveraging financial, technical, operational, and industry-specific experience to identify and quantify issues that may impact the transaction. Typical engagements for the HR M&A practice include pre-acquisition human capital due diligence, focusing on employee benefits and remuneration plans, the review and implementation of HR cost savings and revenue enhancement solutions, and post-acquisition consulting support, including merger integration and workforce management following transaction activity. The Senior Associate role is crucial in managing these processes and ensuring effective communication and coordination among various stakeholders.
