About the position

Admiral Beverage Corporation is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Order Selector to join our team in Missoula, Montana. This position plays a crucial role in our operations by ensuring that materials are efficiently loaded, unloaded, and moved within the warehouse and work site. As a Warehouse Order Selector, you will be responsible for handling various materials, including soft drinks, waters, teas, and other beverages, ensuring they are prepared for distribution to our customers. In this role, you will be expected to perform essential duties such as loading and unloading materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using various equipment including forklifts and electric pallet jacks. You will read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain the materials or containers to be moved, ensuring that all items are loaded securely to prevent damage during transit. Additionally, you will be responsible for counting and recording the number of units moved, noting any breakage or spoilage, and attaching identifying tags or labels to materials. Housekeeping and grounds maintenance within the warehouse and sales center offices will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. You will be required to wear a company-provided uniform and present a professional image to customers and colleagues. This position offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, providing a stable work-life balance. Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, fork lift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack.
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Conveys materials from storage sites to designated loading area.
  • Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage and spoilage on appropriate sheets.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases and other containers.
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and wraps bundles together.
  • Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance warehouse and sales center offices.
  • Wears Company provided uniform and presents a professional image to customers and the work place.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail for counting and recording materials accurately.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
