ScionHealth - Community Care Hospital Division is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a per diem / prn nursing job in Palestine, Texas. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Deliver quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients.
- Cooperate with other professional staff to provide services that reflect the caring philosophy of the hospital.
Requirements
- Current Texas RN license is required.
- Certifications required: NRP (must obtain within 90 days from hire date), ACLS (must obtain within 90 days from hire date), BLS (must obtain within 60 days from hire date), PALS (must obtain within 60 days from hire date), AWHONN basic fetal heart monitoring (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Demonstrated competencies in the care of the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient and her newborn.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to apply sound judgment with clinical skills for optimal patient care.
- Demonstrates flexibility by accepting and supporting changes in work assignments as related to department and patient needs.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
