Performance Test Lead

About the position

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Performance Testing Lead to join their IT team in Phoenix, AZ. This permanent role involves leading performance testing initiatives for various projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective testing solutions. The position requires a strong background in performance testing and software development, with a focus on using tools like JMeter.

Responsibilities

• Work with different stakeholders to identify projects/releases critical for performance and create a testing pipeline.
• Deliver performance testing services for projects across Lines of Business (LOB) while adhering to standards.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies and other meetings to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate closely with business and project teams to understand user stories and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
• Develop and deliver performance test plans based on project requirements.
• Design performance scripts using JMeter according to user stories.
• Execute planned performance tests and analyze results.
• Raise and triage defects, providing status reports on testing progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in performance testing with a solid background in software development.
• Proficiency in performance testing using JMeter tool.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and presentation of findings.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Loadrunner for performance testing.
