The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will work under general supervision as part of a team to provide person-centered services to individuals diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities. The PCA's primary responsibility is to empower individuals and promote their independence by focusing on their preferences and choices as outlined in their Individual Support Plan (ISP). The role involves creating a meaningful life for each person by addressing their physical, social, and developmental needs while ensuring their health, dignity, safety, comfort, well-being, and rights are protected. The PCA will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, including financial reports, behavior supports, personal care tasks, and medication assistance, in accordance with agency training and policies. Additionally, the PCA will provide community living support services, assisting individuals with daily living skills, personal hygiene, and community engagement.
