About the position

The Personal Injury Paralegal / Legal Assistant at Doyle LLP will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys in the personal injury law sector. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage a variety of tasks related to case preparation and client interaction. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to gather necessary discovery and case-related documents, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete. This role involves responding to discovery requests and preparing disclosures for both state and federal cases, which requires a keen attention to detail and a thorough understanding of legal processes. In addition to document management, the paralegal will be responsible for obtaining medical records from various vendors, which is essential for building strong cases. The ability to organize and categorize large volumes of documents within the internal database is critical, as is the capacity to calendar and track appropriate case deadlines using Aderant or equivalent software. The paralegal will also be the point of contact for client inquiries, maintaining communication and providing updates as necessary. Furthermore, the role includes preparing contracts for employment and related paperwork for new clients, as well as assisting with clerical duties as needed. This full-time position is based in Houston, TX, and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, be highly organized, and have the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal oversight. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred, reflecting the firm's commitment to serving a diverse clientele.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Case Management Software, preferably CloudLex

  • Ability to prioritize tasks with little oversight
  • Friendly demeanor
