Pest Control Route Manager/Technician

About the position

The Pest Control Route Manager/Technician position at AFSG LLC is a part-time role focused on providing pest control services in Wake County, NC. The technician will operate a daily service route, inspecting and treating residential properties for pest infestations while also marketing and selling service plans. Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pest infestation.
• Design and carry out pest management plans.
• Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests.
• Measure the dimensions of the area needing treatment.
• Inspect and treat crawlspace areas.
• Drilling and trenching as necessary.
• Apply pesticides, bait, and set traps in and around buildings and structures.
• Drive trucks equipped with power spraying equipment.
• Complete all required service-related documentation.
• Comply with federal, state, and local industry regulations.
• Generate sales in the form of new clients through referrals and door knocking.
• Keep the service truck cleaned and organized.

Requirements

• Operate a daily residential service route (indoor/outdoor).
• A clean driving record is a MUST!
• Passing a criminal background check and drug test is a MUST!
• Pass 90 days of training and licensing test (one-day exam in Charlotte).
• Physically able to walk, reach, crawl, climb stairs, and lift over 50 lbs.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a licensed technician is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
