About the position

The Petro-Chem Engineering Lead will provide leadership and direction to the Petro-Chem Engineering team while also functioning as a working Petro-Chem Engineer. This role is crucial for the preparation of manufacturing planning and purchasing requisitions, ensuring that both planned profitability and customer delivery requirements for petrochemical products and projects are met or exceeded. The individual will be directly responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company's petrochemical engineering procedures and standards, which are vital for maintaining quality and efficiency in production. In this position, the Petro-Chem Engineering Lead will collaborate closely with the Sales team and the engineering, technical, and project staff of customers to ensure that products conform to their specifications and meet their needs. This involves a thorough understanding of customer requirements and the ability to translate these into actionable engineering plans. Additionally, the role requires working with operations to improve and enhance manufacturability, ensuring that production processes are optimized for efficiency and quality. A key aspect of this role is leading and developing the Petro-Chem Engineering team. The Petro-Chem Engineering Lead will assist in evaluating the work of team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and ensure high standards of performance within the team. This leadership role is essential for driving the success of the engineering team and the overall effectiveness of the petrochemical engineering function within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Petro-Chem Engineering team.
  • Prepare manufacturing planning and purchasing requisitions to meet profitability and delivery requirements.
  • Implement and maintain the company's petrochemical engineering procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with Sales and customers' engineering, technical, and project staff to ensure product conformity to requirements.
  • Work with operations to improve manufacturability of products.
  • Lead and develop the Petro-Chem Engineering team and assist in evaluating their work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience with centrifugal casting and machining or fabrication processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of Petro-Chem customer specifications and requirements (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous leadership experience (considered a plus).
