About the position

PGIM is the diversified asset management business of Prudential Financial, Inc., and is among the world's leading asset managers with $1.3 trillion in assets under management. The 2025 Fixed Income, Summer Investment Analyst Program is designed for students who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of investment management, specifically within the Portfolio Analysis Group (PAG). This 10-week internship program will run from June 2nd, 2025, to August 8th, 2025, and is based in Newark, NJ, with a hybrid work model. Interns will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to the organization’s initiatives and help effect change within the firm. As an intern in the PAG, you will evaluate portfolio positioning concerning risk exposures and alpha objectives. You will provide insights into portfolio construction and alignment, analyze performance drivers across various investment products, and deliver performance attribution. The role requires the integration of client guidelines, objectives, and risk tolerances into the investment process, ensuring comprehensive portfolio management and analytics. You will collaborate closely with Senior PAG Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk Managers, and other teams to ensure that the Portfolio Management team has the necessary tools and technology to manage portfolios effectively. Additionally, you will handle multiple ad hoc requests and projects related to market or portfolio analytics from different parts of the Fixed Income Organization, building organizational capabilities along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate portfolio positioning with respect to risk exposures and alpha objectives.
  • Provide portfolio construction and alignment insights.
  • Analyze performance drivers across various investment products and processes to deliver performance attribution.
  • Integrate specific client guidelines, objectives, and risk tolerances into the investment process.
  • Collaborate with Senior PAG Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk Managers, and other teams to ensure effective portfolio management.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and projects related to market or portfolio analytics.
  • Build organizational capabilities by partnering closely with peers throughout Fixed Income.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program or 5th year master's program graduating between December 2025 and May 2026.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Possess the requisite US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred majors include Operations Research, Information/Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics, but all majors are considered.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and other technical data analysis/modeling tools is desirable.
