About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer/Python Developer at PGIM Fixed Income will play a crucial role in the Technology Solutions Group, focusing on building and maintaining a future portfolio management platform. The position requires extensive experience in developing complex services for portfolio management systems, particularly using Python and SQL, and involves working in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in developing portfolio management systems with Python and SQL.
  • Strong fixed income knowledge and experience in portfolio and trading model construction.
  • In-depth knowledge with datasets from Bloomberg, MSCI, ICE, JPM, S&P, Moody's Reuters etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast moving and dynamic environments.
  • Proactive and ownership mentality.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with SDLC tools such as Git, Jira, Docker, Jenkins etc.
  • Java experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Azure Cloud experience.
  • Investment universe customization and back testing.
  • Direct experience supporting front office end-users (PM, Quant).
  • Experience with building microservices using Spring boot framework.
  • Experience in building web applications using React.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain data services that are critical to our applications.
  • Design and implement investment decision and strategy supporting services across all fixed income domains.
  • Maintain and enhance existing portfolio management applications in Java, Python, and React.
