About the position

The Pharma Field Sales - District Business Manager at Novo Nordisk is responsible for leading sales teams to execute strategies that enhance profitability and achieve sales objectives within the diabetes care sector. This role involves managing a regional sales force, developing staff, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic product portfolio. The position emphasizes the importance of compassionate performance to ensure that innovative therapies reach those in need.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead sales teams in executing sales strategies to increase profitability.
  • Manage, train, and develop staff while preparing regional budgets and business plans.
  • Ensure adherence to the Prescription Drug Marketing Act and related policies.
  • Monitor and reinforce the use of the Sales Force Automation System.
  • Communicate regional activity of competitive products through monthly highlight reports.
  • Develop and monitor performance against regional budgets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of administrative requirements.
  • Evaluate appropriate use of regional resources to meet profitability goals.
  • Review and audit expense reports.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of products and management skills through training programs.
  • Execute regional account targeting strategy and manage customer needs assessments.
  • Oversee regional account relationship development and management.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met for the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Pharm D required.
  • 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience required.
  • Previous people management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business and build strategies reflecting marketplace trends and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to engage individuals and teams effectively.
