The Pharmacy Technician at Mercy plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications. This position is accountable to the supervising pharmacist, who is responsible for ensuring the care and safety of patients served by the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician must adhere to applicable standards and federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure the safety of customers and patients. The position is available in three tiers: Tech I, Tech II, and Tech III, each with specific educational and experience requirements. Tech I requires a high school diploma and registration with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy, while Tech II and Tech III require additional experience and certifications. All technicians must demonstrate proficiency in using pharmacy automation technology systems and be able to troubleshoot automated pharmacy technology. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
