About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This position involves managing pharmacy workstations, accurately filling prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service. Pharmacy Technicians are integral to the healthcare team, supporting patients on their journey to better health and contributing to the overall mission of CVS Health.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions accurately and promptly.
• Provide compassionate care and exceptional service to patients and customers.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct at all times.
• Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to state guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have a valid PTCB Certification or be willing to obtain one.
• High school diploma or GED is required or must be actively enrolled in a high school equivalency program.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems related to prescriptions.
• Problem resolution skills to identify and address issues as they arise.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB National Certification.
