About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for performing a full range of pharmacy technician procedures in a fast-paced environment. Your primary duties will include pharmaceutical dispensing, where you will fill new outpatient prescriptions, refill existing prescriptions, and accurately enter orders into our databases. You will also provide information consultation, supporting both new and refill prescriptions, addressing patient requests, and assisting with physician inquiries. Monitoring for potential drug interactions and reporting any adverse drug reactions will be critical components of your role to ensure patient safety and effective medication management. In addition to dispensing and consultation duties, you will engage in quality improvement activities. This includes conducting drug storage inspections, reviewing expired supplies, and generating error and workload reports to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice. You will also be responsible for supply processes, which involve placing new orders, stocking and restocking shelves, maintaining inventory, and producing reports for items that are not in stock. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service in a collaborative team environment. This is a full-time position located at 2940 North Church Street, Layton, UT 84040, with a pay range of $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. The expected hours are between 30 to 40 per week, with a schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician License is required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification is required.
  • 1 year of pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
  • 1 year of customer service experience is preferred.
  • PTCB Certification is preferred.
