About the position

The PRN Phlebotomist at Ramp Health is responsible for conducting biometric health screenings at various client locations. This role emphasizes patient care, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in phlebotomy techniques. The position involves performing blood draws, health assessments, and ensuring the safe handling of specimens while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous and capillary blood collection efficiently and safely.
• Perform testing via CardioCheck+ machines utilizing finger-stick sample collection.
• Conduct biometric screenings including blood pressure (automated and manual), BMI, body fat measurements, and other health metrics.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of blood specimens.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of participant information.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professional team members to provide a comprehensive health screening experience.
• Provide services at various screening sites as needed (reliable transportation is required).
• Assist with transporting medical instruments and supplies to and from screening events, if necessary.
• Facilitate effective communication between team members, management, and clients.
• Attend paid training sessions, either in-person or via Microsoft Teams.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent.
• Current licensure (if required) as a Phlebotomist.
• Proficiency in performing blood draws and biometric measurements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable, but not required.
