About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in early 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility will provide a robust system of care for all District residents, particularly ensuring access to high-quality care for residents of Wards 7 and 8. The hospital will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices and clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specimen collection and processing.
  • Conduct administrative tasks associated with clinical assessment of patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational/Technical Diploma from an accredited organization that includes phlebotomy training.
  • 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
  • Knowledgeable in all phlebotomy techniques.
  • Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks.
