About The Position

The PHP Developer is responsible for managing current and upcoming projects, focusing on creating, maintaining, and enhancing web applications and websites using PHP. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a PHP Developer or similar role.
  • 3 years of JavaScript experience (Preferred).
  • 3 years of PHP development experience (Preferred).
  • 1 year of WordPress experience (Preferred).
  • Proficient with code versioning tools including Git and SVN.
  • Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
  • Knowledge of WordPress, widgets, and plugins.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with SQL/MySQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Apache and IIS service administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, WordPress, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Experience with database management systems, especially MySQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of web security principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
  • Troubleshooting application and code issues.
  • Updating and altering application features to enhance performance.
  • Developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality web applications using PHP.
  • Designing and managing database systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Writing clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.
  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in web development.
  • Assisting in the deployment and maintenance of applications on various platforms.
  • Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.
