Our Physical Therapists fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by providing Physical Therapy services in accordance with one's licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. They serve as the functional mobility and rehabilitation experts and are key stakeholders in patients' functional recovery and interdisciplinary discharge planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Physical Therapy services in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as functional mobility and rehabilitation experts.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, social workers, respiratory therapists, and support staff.
  • Enhance patients' functional recovery.
  • Facilitate successful discharges.
  • Engage in unit and system-based quality initiatives.
  • Contribute to evidence-based research and practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
  • Master's degree in physical therapy preferred.
  • Must have DC License before start of employment.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by AHA or Red Cross.
