The Physical Therapist position at WellSpan Medical Group in Hagerstown, MD, is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing quality physical therapy services in an outpatient clinic setting. This role is part-time, requiring 32 hours biweekly, with varied day and evening shifts from Monday to Friday, along with a rotation for weekends and holidays. The position also involves providing instructions for therapeutic procedures that patients can continue independently. The Physical Therapist will coordinate therapy activities with other team members to facilitate the achievement of established goals and may participate in training medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques. Adherence to safe patient handling techniques is essential, as is the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and Rehabilitation Aides as required by Pennsylvania practice regulations. The role requires maintaining accurate patient records to support medical necessity and functional abilities, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and participating in professional development activities.
