Experienced PTs and New Grads Welcome! Full Time, Part time, and PRN available. Responsibilities

  • Completes initial assessments and ongoing assessments of patients.
  • Develops appropriate treatment plans with specific goals based on evaluations.
  • Provides direct therapy to patients daily following the patient's plan of care.
  • Instructs patients and families in therapeutic procedures.
  • Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient's progress.
  • Documents all care provided in the patient's electronic medical record in a timely manner.
  • Supervises the physical therapist assistant's treatment interventions and professional growth.
  • Maintains departmental policies and procedures regarding safety and infection control.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or qualifications for traineeship or temporary license.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH).
  • 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred).
  • Demonstrates appropriate application of age-specific standards in patient care.
  • General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
  • Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition and progress.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with co-workers, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
