About the position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team in Springfield, MA. This position is part of Baystate Rehabilitation, a comprehensive rehab program that provides services throughout western Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will work in a supportive environment with experienced leadership and highly skilled therapy teammates, emphasizing teamwork, flexibility, and peer support. The role involves providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients in an inpatient setting, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. As a Physical Therapist at Baystate Health, you will be responsible for assessing patients' physical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients during their rehabilitation journey. The position requires a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, as well as a dedication to treating patients with dignity and respect. The schedule for this full-time position is 40 hours per week, with the expectation of working two weekend days each month, which you will sign up for. This role is located at Baystate Medical Center Inpatient Rehabilitation, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients recovering from various conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical conditions and needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and mobility.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and rehabilitation processes.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred).
  • Massachusetts Physical Therapist Licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
  • Experience in physical therapy is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques.
