About the position

The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is seeking three full-time Physical Therapists to join the University Village Physical Therapy team. This position is integral to the provision of physical therapy services, which includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan of care. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for direct patient care, which encompasses all interventions and patient education integrated into treatment sessions. Additionally, the role involves indirect patient care activities such as chart reviews, documentation, scheduling, and participation in team meetings. The Physical Therapist is expected to uphold professional standards and promote quality in practice, ensuring that all services provided are within their clinical competence. The responsibilities also extend to administrative tasks related to patient care services, department operations, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes maintaining accurate time sheets, presenting cases, attending staff meetings, and contributing to committee work. Professional development is a key aspect of this role, as the Physical Therapist is expected to enhance their skills and share expertise with colleagues and students. Clinical teaching for students and student clinicians is also a significant part of the job, and there may be opportunities for academic teaching as well.
