About the position
In this role as a Physical Therapist (PT) at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region, you will be responsible for providing a continuum of services to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders. Your primary focus will be on mobility training, strengthening exercises, modalities, specialized manual therapy, and neuromuscular reeducation. You will utilize the rehabilitation process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being for your patients. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with orthopedic physicians, particularly in a high case-mix of post-operative care. The role involves direct patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and you will be expected to maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR). The position is structured around 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, and there is an openness to training new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in their careers. Your expertise in dry needling and manual therapy will be particularly valuable in this role, as you will be expected to apply these techniques to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders.
- Conduct mobility training and strengthening exercises for patients.
- Utilize modalities and specialized manual therapy techniques as part of treatment plans.
- Implement neuromuscular reeducation strategies to enhance patient recovery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with orthopedic physicians to manage post-operative care effectively.
- Assume personal accountability for the organizational mission and core values.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Current Colorado state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Previous work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab unit preferred.
- Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Dry Needling Certification or Education preferred.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
