Join the up-and-coming Surgical Critical Care team at Backus Hospital! The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team that delivers care for complex surgical and trauma patients in the critical care and stepdown units at Backus Hospital. This role involves rounding and performing procedures, contributing to the care of patients who require intensive medical attention. As a growing clinical team, this position offers increased responsibilities, providing a great opportunity to challenge yourself and develop new skills. The APP will work under established guidelines and in collaboration with the practice physician(s) to perform routine physical examinations, formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients, and develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with the physician(s) and care team members. The role is open to Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, and it is set in an inpatient surgical critical care environment. The schedule is full-time, consisting of three 13.5-hour shifts on a rotating basis, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. There is no call schedule required for this position.
