Requirements

• Completion of an accredited relevant fellowship training program.
• Board Certified in Endocrinology and any additional relevant Endocrine sub-specialties.
• Unrestricted New York State Medical License or ability to obtain.
• Current New York State DEA certificate or ability to obtain.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency or comfort with thyroid biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose, and treat a full range of endocrine system disorders, including diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and osteoporosis.
• Provide comprehensive diabetes care using a team-based approach with endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, diabetes educators, and nutritionists.
• Conduct on-site screenings for osteoporosis and provide comprehensive services for thyroid disorders.
• Consult with patients regarding their endocrine health and provide the latest advancements in care.
• Start work in multi-specialty outpatient offices and round at local hospitals.
• Refer patients to advanced specialists as needed and oversee treatment before and after surgery.
• Order tests, interpret results, and maintain appropriate medical records.
