About the position

PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join their Orthopedic surgery team in Florence, Oregon. This role involves providing a full scope of orthopedic surgeries at a Critical Access Level III Trauma center, which is one of only two trauma centers on the Oregon coast. The position offers a balanced work-life schedule with a combination of operating room time, clinic days, and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of orthopedic surgeries including trauma cases such as hip, shoulder, wrist, ankle, and knee surgeries.
• Participate in scheduled operating room blocks and clinic days.
• Provide 24/7 coverage in collaboration with orthopedic and general surgeons.
• Support podiatry services as needed.
• Engage in call rotation with a 1:3 schedule.

Requirements

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Valid medical license to practice in Oregon.
• Experience in trauma surgery is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.

Nice-to-haves

• Fellowship training in a subspecialty of orthopedic surgery.
• Experience in a Critical Access or Trauma center.
