About The Position

The PRN Registered Nurse RN PreOp PACU position at Banner Health involves providing nursing care to patients in the Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Requirements

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state.
• Prior RN PreOp/PACU experience preferred.
• Ability to assess and evaluate patient needs effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and patient input.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination of the healthcare team.
• Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and revise the plan as needed.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record accurately and timely.
• Provide care based on the best evidence available and participate in research activities.
• Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes.
• Interact with all levels of staff and external contacts regarding patient care.
