About The Position

Performs under general supervision, various construction, operation and maintenance functions in the Gas Distribution Department. The work involves performing elementary pipe fitting, laying pipe, heat fusing joints, and installing couplings. The role also includes installing anodes and test stations, preparing joints, installing clamps, assisting in cathodic protection surveys, and installing leak clamps. Other incidental and related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• One year's experience as a Laborer.
• Demonstration of suitable proficiency in the Laborer classification.
• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
• Stamina to work outdoors under extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work as a member of a crew or work team.
• Availability for overtime and emergency work assignments.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety rules and use of protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge and understanding of the Company's gas distribution system.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, ordinances, and company rules and standards.
