About the position
The Plant Engineering Manager at DAP is responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities at the Pacific Plant in Missouri. This role focuses on achieving safety goals, overseeing engineering projects, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement in plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and maintain safety goals related to maintenance and engineering functions.
- Direct engineering studies, drawings, layout sketches, material lists, estimates, and preparation of requests for proposed capital expenditures.
- Supervise projects and personnel for the improvement and modernization of the plant, ensuring project completion within budget.
- Develop and maintain the annual capital budget and a 5-year capital plan, including project descriptions and cost justification.
- Establish best practices to achieve goals on quality scorecards and equipment packing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance overall equipment effectiveness and maintain cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Project, and Contractor Management skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
