Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and overhaul machine tools (i.e. CNC machines), PLCs, fire alarm systems, security systems, and VFDs.
• Use oscilloscope, TDR, DVM, computer hardware, software systems, and programming and calibration of plant automated instrumentation.
• Work according to Company regulations and procedures and instructions from a Crew Chief or supervisor.
• Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
• Communicate with other company personnel as required.
• Request parts, clean work area, and connect/remove ground power and ground start units.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, clean, check, repair, rework, replace, fabricate, assemble, install, and adjust any building component, plant equipment, automotive and ground equipment, machinery, accessories, and parts.
• Execute assignments requiring plumbing and millwright skills.
• Weld materials and perform general building maintenance and construction work.
• Maintain locks and keys for facility and other airport locations.
• Assist in storage, removal, and clean-up of hazardous waste.
• Ensure forms, records, reports, and other work-related paperwork are completed properly.
• Perform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding technical questions.
• Explain work procedures to other personnel.
• Escort vendors throughout airport property.
• Report to position on time, as scheduled, and at assigned station or location.
• Perform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policies.
• Complete job-relevant trainings.
• Adhere to government regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA) and company policies.
• Follow instructions from supervisor or Crew Chief.
• Coordinate with other employees, vendors, and stakeholders to accomplish work tasks.
• Wear uniforms and work shoes as required by company policy.
• Use relevant electronic systems to complete work.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Thirty-six months (36) or more journeyman experience in Industrial Electronics.
• Willingness to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
• Willingness to work extra hours when there are operational needs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days-off.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Ability to fulfill FAA criminal background checks.
• Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
• Successful completion of drug screening process.
