About The Position

The Plating Operator Level 1 position is an entry-level role where selected candidates will learn tasks that support the Plating department. Responsibilities include racking, unracking, and cleaning production aerospace parts. Candidates must be self-disciplined, self-motivated, and possess strong accountability skills. They should be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, resourceful, innovative, and have a strong business ethic. Good communication skills are essential to represent the company positively. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to safety rules and regulations. Operators will perform verifications to ensure all traces of organic soils, fingerprints, dirt, and dust are removed using solvent cleaners.

Requirements

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals.
  • The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers.
  • The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.

Nice To Haves

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adhere to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Correctly access and interpret documentation (C-Specs, etc.).
  • Lift up to 45lbs (Repetitive).
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Perform basic racking and loading of product (Basic Washes).
  • Make basic chemical additions (Soaps etc.).
  • Meet area/product specific production standards.
  • Complete process and operation documentation (Traceability, etc.).
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
