About the position

The position involves designing and documenting electrical and electronic subsystems, performing PLC programming, and collaborating with mechanical engineers to create integrated electro-mechanical designs. The candidate will work on improving existing products and introducing new ones, focusing on meeting customer and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document electrical/electronic subsystems using OEM components
  • Perform PLC programming to meet customer and contract requirements
  • Specify OEM power supplies, PLCs, controllers, sensors, motion control, automation, and other components
  • Create BOMs, assembly drawings, schematics, component specifications, work instructions
  • Create & improve documentation for electrical/electronic controls, software and technical manuals
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to provide integrated electro-mechanical designs

Requirements

  • Experience with PLC programming (Function Block & Ladder Logic)
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Electronic Controls design/development (Crouzet, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Producing electrical/electronic designs from basic engineering P&ID's
  • Familiarity with UL501A Industrial Control Panel standards
  • Working with low and medium voltage power systems, AC and DC industrial power circuits
  • Working with 50/60 hz systems, grounded and un-grounded systems

Nice-to-haves

  • CAD software, Solidworks or equivalent
  • Circuit board design and specification
  • Pressure, flow, level sensors
