About The Position
Serves as lead master level plumber performing complex tasks for repair, maintenance, diagnostic, troubleshooting, testing and install of fixtures, pipes, and other plumbing used for water distribution, wastewater disposal, stormwater, and electrical and natural gas systems, equipment and components in commercial and industrial buildings supporting facilities throughout Fairfax County. Ensures timely, professional completion of work in accordance with and codes, regulations and trade standards. Works with and coordinates with other trades, assisting and performing related work as required. Provides mentorship and leadership to Plumber I's. This position works under the general direction of the facility manager and directly under the chief building engineer. Note: This position is considered 'essential personnel' and will be required to report to work during times designated countywide as approved for unscheduled leave regardless of the emergency situation (weather, transportation, other disaster).
