About the position

The Portfolio Director, Talent Pipeline Assessments will be part of the People, Purpose & Brand (PP&B) Talent Pipeline organization at Liberty Mutual. This role focuses on defining skill needs for the organization and co-creating offerings to select and develop talent. The director will set and maintain the assessment and skills architecture to support a skills-based talent strategy, providing global thought leadership and guiding other talent professionals in scalable solutions across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate Talent Pipeline Solutions by applying I-O psychology principles to implement methods for managing the talent pipeline.
  • Develop and Sustain Skills Architecture by shaping the framework for Liberty's skills-based talent strategy.
  • Conduct continuous research on market trends and I-O best practices, synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
  • Manage the end-to-end assessment portfolio using I-O methods to define requirements and measure outcomes.
  • Collaborate with DEI Research & Insights to promote diversity and inclusion within the talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology.
  • 5+ years' experience in the private sector applying academic research to business challenges.
  • Expertise in psychometrics and assessment design for prehire and skills measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven insights on assessment effectiveness and skills gaps.
  • Proficient in project management and effective communication with senior stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI, DEI in Assessment, and understanding of psychological theory and human behavior.
  • Adept at problem solving and critical thinking.
