About the position

As a Portfolio Manager at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of projects, programs, and processes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective engagement of various departments within the Business Unit, including Finance, Application Development, and PMO groups. You will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management Office to maintain data integrity and uphold the standards required for our work. This includes overseeing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reporting and ensuring data hygiene across the portfolio. You will also be tasked with creating and implementing governance structures, addressing defects, and generating ad hoc reports as needed. In this role, you will be the process owner for project submissions, ensuring adherence to processes and obtaining financial approvals for projects. You will assist in developing and maintaining the project portfolio model, institutionalizing the project submission and prioritization process. Your ability to measure portfolio health, status, and variances against established baselines will be essential in providing stakeholders with effective reporting tools. You will maintain the portfolio on an ongoing basis, which includes managing existing and pending projects, overseeing change control, and ensuring strategic alignment to meet data integrity standards. Additionally, you will act as an escalation point for projects that may face risks or issues during their lifecycle, ensuring that all necessary artifacts and subject matter expertise are included in project deliveries. You will co-lead with the Tier 1 Clarity Help Desk SME on project creation, further enhancing the collaborative nature of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio of projects, programs, and processes.
  • Ensure engagement of departments within the Business Unit, Finance, Application Development, and PMO groups.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management Office to ensure data integrity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business process and business operations analysis and improvement.
  • 4+ years of experience with Excel, Power BI, Clarity, Jira.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, finance, business, or a similar field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial domain experience.
  • Experience with portfolio management and governance.
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, and Clarity.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
