About the position

As a Portfolio Senior Manager at First American Trust, you will play a crucial role in managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios. Your primary responsibility will be to review investment goals and develop strategies that align with client objectives while maintaining acceptable risk levels. You will consider the legal and tax implications of investment decisions and monitor daily investment activities to stay informed about market changes. This position requires accountability for determining investment strategies, analyzing alternative investments, and recommending appropriate investment options. You will also prepare detailed reports on investment transactions and status for submission to management. Depending on your focus, you may work directly with individual clients, engaging in business development activities, or concentrate on corporate investments within the Corporate Investment Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage investment portfolios according to client and corporate objectives, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within investment management agency accounts.
  • Meet with clients to explain investment strategies and performance, creating meeting materials and generating client financial plans.
  • Drive business development initiatives by providing technical investment expertise.
  • Monitor investment management account activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Obtain appropriate documentation on accounts to maintain compliance.
  • Comply with applicable company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Post Graduate degree preferred (CFA or MBA).
  • Minimum 7-9 years of professional experience with a significant degree of technical knowledge, considered an expert in the field.
  • Significant and deep specialized knowledge of financial markets.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Specific knowledge of technology including ADDvantage, Investor's View, PowerPoint, Excel, and Salesforce.
