The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Center for STEM Education, with the position commencing in August 2024. This full-time role is grant-funded and will be based on the Hattiesburg campus. The successful candidate will engage in collaborative research focused on STEM education, working closely with faculty members from the Center. The position is designed for individuals with a strong background in STEM education research methods and data collection, particularly those who have experience working with K-16 students and/or teachers. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on project progress and funding availability. In this role, the Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research related to ongoing STEM programs within the Center for STEM Education. Responsibilities will include mentoring and supervising graduate student research, communicating research findings through technical reports, peer-reviewed journal articles, and presentations to various stakeholders. Additionally, the associate will participate in grant proposal writing and may be assigned other duties as necessary.
