About the position
IRIS Consulting Corporation is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Power BI, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL and at least 3 years of experience working with Power BI. This role requires excellent communication and soft skills, as the developer will be interfacing daily with various stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver effective solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and collaborating with team members to enhance data visualization practices. In addition to technical skills, the candidate should have experience with source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git, as version control is essential for managing code changes and collaboration within the team. A solid understanding of data warehousing practices, including star schema and Kimball methodology, is also crucial for this role. While experience with Azure Data Factory and knowledge of APIs are considered a plus, they are not mandatory for this position. The Power BI Developer will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, contributing to the overall success of our projects and client satisfaction.
