About The Position

As a Power Plant Mechanic at WK Kellogg Co in Memphis, TN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the facility's boiler systems. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Active 1st Class Steam License from Shelby County.
• Active Refrigeration license.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and complete repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the safety and operation of power plant equipment.
• Experience with large industrial chillers, high pressure steam equipment, and large reciprocating and centrifugal air compressors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily preventative maintenance for boiler room equipment.
• Test boiler water, well water, cooling tower water, and chilled water for air conditioning and brine.
• Add chemicals as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
• Operate and maintain all boilers, chillers, turbo air compressors, and cooling towers.
• Conduct weekly factory inspection rounds and assess the condition of the sprinkler system.
• Follow and enforce safety, health, quality, and company policies and procedures.
