The Power Systems Automation Engineer will develop, implement, configure, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and commissioning of the power transmission and distribution substation systems. The role involves interacting and supporting customers in troubleshooting and commissioning support, as well as providing technical back-office support for the sales/proposal organization. The engineer will configure and test RTUs/PLCs for protection and controls schemes of Medium and High Voltage substations systems. Additionally, the engineer will develop new application solutions with IEC61850 or other communication protocols relevant in the energy automation field. Responsibilities also include designing and/or supporting the elaboration of Control Logic Diagrams, System Network Architecture, Signal Lists, and Functional Design Specifications documents during the design phase of the project. The engineer will prepare Factory Acceptance Test procedures and testing environments for customer projects and will be one of the primary customer interfaces, including troubleshooting and commissioning support. Technical support will be provided throughout the project lifecycle, including design, implementation, and commissioning phases.
