About The Position

The candidate will work with various components that allow for internal parts to operate properly in machinery. These items typically include belts, chains, couplings, pulleys, sprockets, bushings, hubs, bearings, and various other components. Power transmission products are generally made from heavy duty materials such as stainless steel. These items are designed for high efficiency, long workloads and versatility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical certifications or related training
• Math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and working with fractions
• Able to read measuring devices - rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, Vernier's, and formulas
• Mechanical aptitude - able to use and operate power tools, i.e.: band saw, shear, hydraulic press, hydraulic bender, drill press, table disk sander, etc.
• Able to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Have a valid driver's license and able to drive an automobile
• Able to travel on short notice by public transportation including (i.e.: aircrafts, trains, bus, cars) domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

• Able to operate overhead crane, drive a forklift and pallet truck
• Able to read specification prints
• Able to read thermocouple connections, gauges on ovens and know how to load ovens.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping as required.
• Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times.
• Regular in attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.
• Willing to attend classes/training to improve basic skills and non-essential functions.
• Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.
